Sadly, it did not take long for Fleming and Von Eeden to completely lose me again in Thriller 6 (May 1984), even with Dick Giordano helping out on the inks.
So there is more than one Kane Creole in this story. Honestly, I am not even sure how many there are. Definitely two. There are a couple of clones, but Proxy also disguises himself as Kane. There is one who is holding a concert, living the life of the dead rock star, but another who is hired to impersonate him and rob a bank as him, across the street, as a publicity stunt.
One of those might be Proxy. I just can't tell. Kane's managers are also getting killed by one of the Kane Creoles.
Turns out the impostors are clones. Oh, I said that already. Forgive me, this series is making my brain hurt. I do like that the clone believes himself to be real, and the motivation for the clone killing the manager was the creation of the clone itself, done by robbing Kane's grave for his DNA. But yeah, this series is a mess.
